Dreaming is also essential for brain health.

Truth: It is a common myth that the older you get the lesser sleep you need. It is true that the elderly experience broken sleep patterns but this is due to other health issues.
Myth 3: At weekends you can catch on your sleep
Truth: People usually allot weekends to compensate for the hours of sleep missed during the weekdays. So, people sleep for a few extra hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Studies reveal that this trend may not be sufficient to restore you for a busy week ahead. It is not a healthy trend. You need proper sleep every day.

Truth: If you are not able to sleep at night, don’t just lie there. It is but natural to think that staying in bed will make you fall asleep eventually. This will actually make you cease thinking of your bed as a place of rest. Instead get up and try to do deep breathing or meditation. Even listening to soothing music is a good option.
