7 Exercises For Sexy And Toned Legs

To tone the lower half of your body there are 7 challenging exercises. These will help you get toned legs so that you can sport your favourite shorts without thinking twice.
1) Pistol Squat
Stand and extend your arms in front of you at the shoulder level. They should be parallel to the floor. Raise the right leg from the floor and hold (See pic). Pushing your hips back, start lowering yourself as much as you can with the right leg extended out. Pause and then get back to the starting position.
2) Dumbbell Split Jump
You need dumbbells for this exercise. Hold dumbbells in each hand and keep your arms to your sides with your palms facing towards you. Stand spread out with your left foot in front of the right foot. From this position lower yourself into the split squat position. Change directions quickly and jump with sufficient force in order to get both feet off the floor. Repeat this by alternating back and forth with each rep.
3) Farmer’s Walk on Toes
You need heavy dumbbells for this exercise. Hold a pair of heavy dumbbells in your hands and keep your arms by your sides. Lift your heels and walk in the forward direction or in a circle for about 60 seconds.
4) Reverse Dumbbell Box Lunge with Forward Reach
Stand on a step or 6 inch box while holding a pair of light dumbbells by your sides. Take a step backward getting your right leg into a lunge and lean forward from your hips and reach towards the feet. Reverse the steps to get back into the starting position.
5) Single-Arm Kettlebell Swing
Use a kettlebell that has an overhand grip and hold it an arm’s length in front of your waist. This exercise can be done with two hands i.e. you can hold the kettlebell with both hands. Bending at the hips and knees, lower your upper body such that it forms a 45 degree angle to the ground. Now swing the kettlebell between the legs. Keeping the arm straight thrust the hips forward and straighten your knees. Swing the kettlebell up to the level of the chest as you rise to the standing position. Now, squat back and swing the kettlebell again between your legs. You have to swing the weight forcefully back and forth.
6) Marching Hip Raise with Feet on a Swiss Ball
Lie down face-up on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat on a Swiss ball. Lift your hips so that your body forms a straight from the shoulders to the knees. Lift one of your knees to the chest and lower yourself back to the start and lift the other knee to the chest. Continue alternating back and forth.
7) Goblet Squat
Grab a dumbbell and hold it vertically to your chest with both the hands. Get your abs ready and lower yourself as far as possible by pushing your hips back and bending the knees. Pause and push yourself to the position from where you started.
