Bhindi Kurkuri Crispy Okra Recipe

I hope you all liked the Crispy Cauliflower fries I shared a few days back, well I am here with another interesting vegetable recipe.
This time I tried my hands on Bhindi or Ladyfinger and prepared this interesting recipe. Read on further to know the recipe and the secret ingredients.
Bhindi Kurkuri is made in many ways however this crispy with okra or lady finger recipe is mainly prepared by using gram flour added with few spices and vinegar, deep fried until golden. They turn crispy upon frying and can be easily used as starters. The green vegetable is really tasty and serves to be an ideal snacking option which is healthy and free from excess calories.
Okra is one of the most abundantly available vegetable in India and is used in preparing various dishes in all parts of the country. This is a low calorie vegetable and specially suits the diet needs of those people who wish to loose weight. It is easily digested and with no amount of cholesterol or saturated fats, it maintains the proper rate of metabolic activity.
This vegetable has high fiber content and gives bulk to the food. It also contains high levels of Vitamin A, C & B6. Large amounts of calcium, zinc, riboflavin, folic acid & Iron make it an ideal green vegetable perfect for a healthy and balanced diet.
Usually this recipe is reared by deep frying it in oil which turns the vegetables very crispy however those who don’t like to have oily food can also try preparing this dish in an Air fryer and can easily enjoy dishes like these which need to be fried for a great crisp and taste.
200g Bhindi/ Okra
2 tbsp Gramflour (Besan)
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 tsp Ajwain
1-2 tsp Oil
1 tsp Chilli powder
Salt (as per taste)
Method Of Preparation-
This is quite an interesting recipe and using my Philips Air Fryer to make this recipe has made it really quick and non-oily in comparison to the normal deep frying preparation method.
First of all clean all the lady finger, remove the seeds and cut them all in thin long slices.
Now take a bowl, add the ladyfinger slices, and mix salt, vinegar, ajwain, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder & mix well.
Now add gramflour (besan) and add few drops of oil to it and mix well.
Now put the okra or ladyfinger in the air fryer compartment and set the temperature to 180 and air fry them for 14-15 minutes.
Well, Crispy okra recipe is ready to be served with your favorite dip!
