- Don’t share your eye-makeup
Stop sharing your eye makeup as it has to be exclusively used by you. When you share eye makeup you spread bacteria. So, even it is your close friend who asks for your kohl just tell her this reason and I am sure she will agree.
- Apply the eyeliner outside the lash line
When you apply the eyeliner outside the lash line, there will be no scratches to your eyelids and eyes.
- Dispose off makeup after every 2 to 3 months
In order to avoid bacterial infections it is advisable to change eye makeup after every 3 to 4 months. Do not use products that have expired. You can make out that it is time to throw off your mascara when it starts forming clumps and has a weird smell.
- Replace all your eye makeup after you have an infection
Once you get an eye infection, it is advisable to dispose off your makeup products and get new ones. This is just to prevent more bacteria from spreading.
- At the end of the day, remove eye makeup
No matter how much you love your dramatic eye makeup, ensure that you removes traces of all the makeup before you hit the sack. Your eyes are said to be very sensitive. Even a tiny speck of mascara, eye-shadow or eyeliner can cause an eye infection.
