How To Lose Weight In A Week?

How To Lose Weight In A Week?

Have you ever thought of losing weight in a week? I am sure all of us think about it all the time. who won’t like to lose those piled up kilos to be shed in a few days? But do you think that it is possible? I believe that it is very much possible and I have done it. I lost seven kilos weight in a week. I know that it was not at all difficult. How did I do it? Simple by changing my attitude towards everything that was responsible for my weight gain.

Attitude Is The Key To Successful Weight Loss

Your Attitude Is The Key To Successful Weight Loss

Whenever you feel sick of your weight issues, have you ever tried to focus on the reasons why you gained weight? As far as I am concerned whenever I have done it, I realised that it is all due to my bad habits. I have tried to control all those so many times but let me tell you it is the hardest task I have ever tried to do in my life. Though I have never tried any special weight loss program but there are so many of you all who have been trying weight loss programs and unsuccessfully. Have you ever thought if you have failed the program or the program has failed you?

Attitude is the devil

Good Weight loss programs don’t teach you how to lose weight but they change your attitude towards your habits which cause you weight gain. If you have been trying unsuccessfully to lose weight then I am sorry to say that you might need to change your attitude. You need to change your basic perception about things. If you continue to think the way you have always been doing, then you will continue to get the same results what you always got. As I said earlier too so many times that weight loss is all about changing your mental makeup. If you think you will fail, you will. If you think you will succeed, you will.

Attitude is all about making the right choices. If you make the right choice then you have developed the right attitude and vice versa. We need to remember that we cannot change what harm we have already done to ourselves due to bad attitude towards health but of course we can make a new start by changing one thing that is our attitude.

Move on

Attitude Key To Successful Weight LossWeight gain is the result of our mistakes but if we decide to improve then we need to forget and forgive and move on towards a better world of better health. Forget mistakes, forget failures and every other thing that kept you down; just remember what you are planning to do to take life back in your hands and just do it.

Here are a few pointers to success in losing weight…..

Set a goal to change your habits

Most of the times we do everything to lose weight or inches or even to fit into a smaller size dress but have we ever did all those efforts to attain a better healthy life? Have we ever thought to feel mentally and emotionally healthy? Frame your first goal as “I want to be happy by living without any medication.” This kind of goal will surely help you to work harder to attain your goal rather than running away from the efforts.

Adopt a practical strategy

Attitude The Key To Successful Weight LossDevelop a clear plan about the things you need to change your attitude towards like “I need to stop consuming sugar.

Now after that plan how will you do it.

  • ” I will not have sugar in tea and not have anything with added or hidden sugar.”

  • ” I will not have sugar in tea and not have anything with added or hidden sugar.”

  • “If I have one spoonful of sugar then I will go for a mile-long jog.”

Thus having a clear strategy surely helps. Try it.

Pre-empt the hidden obstructions

attitude and focus on success

Now think beforehand what will you do if you have to attend a birthday party or a dinner night out? Work out how you will overcome these before they happen. decide that you will have a smallest possible bite of cake and other sugary treats and then stay strong to do so. Believe me if you succeed once you will succeed always.

Weight loss success or success of any weight loss program depends on your attitude towards your own self, your commitment towards your health. Make your attitude self friendly. Form habits that make you not break you. After all, it’s you and you only who is your own responsibility.

  1. hi Kanan! isnt loosing weight in a week just water weight and not the actual weight? also did u pile on any of it back? coz i had tried GM diet and lost 3 kgs in a week but gained 5 later 🙁

  2. Hi Pooja, you have asked a very good question. One thing we need to understand that whenever you try to lose weight, all the initial weight that you lose on any diet protocol is always the water weight. Once you shed the water weight that is no more than 2 – 3 kgs, you start losing fat. I lost 7 kilos in a week and kept on losing staying constant with my way of eating. I was on a ketogenic diet and that made me lose 20 kilos in initial few months after that I began maintaining the loss. GM diet is not at all successful for long term loss, it is good just to kickstart the weight loss process. Always remember it takes 40 days to get into a particular habit. So if you are trying to lose weight seriously, then do it for minimum 40 days. Once you get in that particular way of living then nothing can stop you.

  3. Dear Kannan,

I stumbled on your story 2 days back n since then have been googling abt you and finally landed on this site. I have just started my weight loss journey ( this time I resolve to stick to it) and aim at losing atleast 12 kg in 3 months time with a goal of 4kgs per month). When I read your story… I was really zapped that you managed to do what you did without any external help ( gyms/ trainers/ nutritionists) . But you have worked really hard n with determination. I hope to reach close to your level of resolve in time. Right now I have started slow so that I stick to my plan n dont abandon it midway if I aim more than what I have planned for. Even these 12 kg would make a good diff to my overall persona n health. Just wanted to thank you for sharing your story n inspiring so many of us who want to achieve similar goals ! Kudos to you 🙂

  4. I also intend to be a regular visitor to your posts ….and incidently my weight gain story is so similar to you but currently I am at 77 kgs at 5.1 n dont want to continue on the same lines. Looking forward to all the inspiration from your posts!

  5. Thanks Arshia for all the good words. My only advice to you will be to stay strong during the initial 40 days and once you get into the pattern then all things will move well. And yes don’t think that you will not stumble … I stumble till date and yet haven’t reached my goal weight BUT the trick is to get back and keep moving on. Never give up as weight loss is no less than fighting your battle with your demons and really the worst possible ones. Go on stay strong… and do share your story once you feel that you have achieved what you strived for. All the best.
