Homemade face packs to get rid of tan
Though there are many face packs to get rid of sun tan, I am mentioning a few below.
1) Besan and turmeric face pack
Both besan (Bengal gram flour) and turmeric are great for the skin. While turmeric adds a healthy glow along with reducing pigmentation and tan, Bengal gram flour is a wonderful natural scrub that exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells.
To 2 tbsps of besan, add a pinch on turmeric, a tablespoon of milk, little cold rose water and 1 tablespoon of crushed orange peel in a bowl. Mix well and apply on your face. Allow it to dry for about 20 minutes. After that moisten the dries face pack and slowly remove it by scrubbing gently clockwise and anti-clockwise. Make sure to apply this pack of alternate days for effective tan removal.
2) Papaya and honey face pack
Papaya is a fruit that is packed with goodness. It helps in removal of sun tan due to the presence of certain enzymes. The enzyme papain in papaya lightens the skin, removes tan, reduces the visibility of blemishes and scars. The other enzymes help in skin renewal, exfoliation and restoration. Honey is also good for the skin as it is known to moisturize and soften the skin.
For the pack, take half a cup of mashed ripe papaya and add a tablespoon of honey. Mix it all up well. Apply on your face and let it dry for about 30 minutes. Rinse it off well with water.
3) Oatmeal and butter milk pack
Oatmeal is a great skin exfoliator and buttermilk helps in soothing the skin and healing the blisters. Being a natural scrub, with oatmeal you can get rid of blackheads and dead cells.
Just mix 2 tbsp of oatmeal with 3 tbsps of buttermilk and apply it on your face and affected area. Massage gently in circular motion and let it stay for about 15 to 20 minutes and clean your face with water.
4) Orange juice and yoghurt face pack
With this pack, you can easily remove sun tan and regenerate new skin cells with the help of vitamin C that is present in orange. It fights blemishes and improves skin tone and texture. Yoghurt is a natural bleach and moisturizer that makes the skin soft.
Mix 1 tbsp each of yoghurt and orange juice and apply on your face. Leave it on the ski for half an hour and then rinse it off.
