1 Week No Junk Challenge Day3-Vegetarian Indian Meal Options
How is your challenge going? Its Day 3 for me, since we decided to be 1 day advance so that we can guide you and resolve all your queries.
Someone asked in our Facebook event about vegetarian meals that are healthy and live up to the expectation of this 1 week no junk challenge. You can have wheat roti or rice in your main course but my suggestion is to replace them with healthier and who grains like –
- Brown Rice
Below are some of the recipes you can have for breakfast or snacks. I use some of them as my main course meals too! I am linking detailed recipes in the headings for your easy reference 🙂
Besan Gobhi Cheela
In 2 table spoons of gram floor, add water, salt and red chilli. Add steamed small florets of cauliflower. Make the mixture consistent enough to spread nicely on the pan.
Have this cheela with coriander mint chutney! If you don’t have cauliflower, you can add vegetables like carrot, beans, capsicum, tomato, onion etc. You can also add cottage cheese to enhance the taste 🙂
You just need to soak moong daal overnight. Grind it in the morning , add masalas. Add water to make a consistent batter. Spread the batter on the pan and cook 🙂
This is my favorite way to eat moong daal. Add cucumber, tomato, onion and lemon to boiled moong daal! It tastes awesome!
I do munch on salted peanuts but this is a pretty interesting snack and that too guilt free 😉
Do try this recipe, its absolutely yumm. I can bet after that having this for dinner, you will wake up fresh and lose some grams off your body!
Those who don’t like to eat brown rice, this is a healthy yet delicious recipe.
This is a fermented salad. You must have had this in Chinese restaurants.
