Healthy eating and weight loss

So, it’s my Day 4 and I have already started losing inches…I know because that love handle is slowly vanishing. 🙂 That reminds me to tell you with experience that if you are on weight loss journey and not losing weight…worry not because your diet and workout plan will be called more successful if you lose inches first and weight later. Weight, initially is nothing but water weight which can go up and down on an hourly basis. So stay strong and keep on your regimen.

My Challenge rules

As in my Day 2 post  I had said that I am going to make and follow certain rules, let me give a brief to those…

1. I will drink two glasses of hot water first thing in the morning.

2. I will reduce tea and coffee intake.

3. I will have breakfast regularly.

4. I will burn minimum 500 calories and walk 10,000 steps.

Now let me pronounce very proudly that I have managed to follow all the four rules with sincerity all through. I have had just one mug of black coffee in three days with almost 50% cut in tea consumption. I am having breakfast daily, and above all, my walking steps have reached 14ooo from 10000 and daily calorie burn from 500 to 650. 🙂

My Daily Smoothie

I am in love with smoothies. As I follow a lower carb way of eating but cannot leave my fruits so a smoothie is the best way to consume fruits in the morning for the best benefits. It raises my energy levels and gives my body a lot of time through the day to control extra carbohydrates. I loved this smoothie with

  • Kakdi (type of cucumber),

  • watermelon,

  • green tea,

  • Black salt,

  • Pepper,

  • Roasted cumin.

You know what, the two slices of watermelon in the pic weigh 150 gms and just for your information, in this 150 grams of Watermelon, there are:

  • 45 calories,

  • 0.22g Fat,

  • 11.32g Carbs,

  • 0.92g Protein

So if you are on a very low carb diet then water melon is not a very great idea. 🙁

What are my friends eating on this 1 week No Junk Challenge

10,000 steps challenge

Do you think it is difficult to get 10,000 steps in a day because you are busy? No, you are mistaken, it is not at all difficult because you need to be clear about one thing that you are not busy but inactive. I will help you be active on a daily basis and cover those 10,000 steps bu giving a breakdown of those steps. But not today…on Day 6. Right now it’s time for my 10,000 steps challenge and I cannot miss it. Oh! by the way did you count your steps today?
