  1. iam suffering from iron deficiency anameia from my child hood, doctor suggested me beetroots instead of medicine, daily i used to drink 2 glasses of juice contains beetroot along with some carrot, in 6 mnths hemoglobin percentage increased from 8 to 10 gm. But i hate beetroots 🙁

    • Sravanthi, mine is the same case as yours. I also don’t like the taste of beetroot , but I need it , so dont have any option. Try having 1 pomegranate a day, that will also keep your HB up.

      • Substitute jaggery instead of sugar. My mom had to undergo hysterectomy and her iron was very low. Doc gave her medicines and asked her to come in 15 days. Instead of taking the medicines she was asked by a friendly nurse to substitute sugar in her diet with plain old jaggery. She did it and within 7 days her HB went up and she could have the surgery. Since her success story, I use jaggery and now my HB is always high.

  2. taru..- i have a recipe. in a chopper take beetroot,capsicum carrot baby corn paneer n sprouts if u wish.. chop finesly together- use as sandwich filling or as omelette stuffing.. tastes wow!
