Both phthalates and parabens are known to be carcinogenic and linked to breast cancer. Now, will you think twice before using your cosmetics? You just need to be sure that your bran of cosmetics has no phthalates and parabens in them.

3) Fragrance

What should be done?

You can’t just avoid using personal care products altogether. Read labels to find out what is in your shampoo, conditioner, soap, skin care products or cosmetics. Go in for trusted brands that don’t use harmful chemicals. You can altogether stay away from these chemicals by shifting to natural skin care and personal care products. But please do read labels as even ‘natural’ products contain tons of chemicals. You can replace chemical loaded scrubs with natural homemade scrubs. A paste of rice flour and curd will work as good as any other scrub in the market. This is just one example, you can swap chemical products with chemical free ones!
