We all love the Bacchan family and this family became more important when the most beautiful woman on this earth joined them. Yes, we are talking about Aishwarya Rai. We thought of reposting this post about Aishwarya Rai’s Weight Loss story, her journey from fit to fab because her family is going through a tough time, fighting Coronavirus.

Aishwarya is the ideal new-age Indian woman. Juggling a career with home and being an ever-supportive daughter, daughter-in-law, wife & mom. She is considered one of the most beautiful women on this earth. Then, when she delivered her first baby Aaradhya, instead of looking at the fact that she chose motherhood over vanity for the first year, she was panned by the media. The lady who is also deemed the “ice-queen” showed the world that she is.

When she was crowned Miss World in 1994 she was a slim model.

Then came movies where she maintained more or less a regular slim figure-came Dhoom 2 where she stunned the world with her new figure:

Soon after Dhoom 2, she married Abhishek Bachchan and consequently was under scrutiny for years with the media deciding on how good or bad a wife/daughter in law she was.

Her pregnancy saw her gaining lots of weight. This is how she looked in her last few days of pregnancy.

Post-delivery- Ash ballooned and received a lot of flak for not being able to shed weight fast. I feel that this just showed the world how real she was.

And then she showed a relatively slimmer figure as the days progressed:

And now how she is today, a beautiful and happy woman who has seen life from almost all angles.

What did Aishwarya Rai eat?

All through her pregnancy, Aishwarya ate boiled vegetables, fresh fruits, brown rice, grilled fish, and green leaves. She ate small frequent meals rather than having large meals with a certain fixed gap in between.

Later after delivery, she changed her diet to incorporate more fresh vegetables and high nutrient meals. She made a shift from white to brown rice which is surely more nutritious and thus healthier carbohydrates.

Her meals consisted of ample proteins and lots of water. As we also insist that to lose weight, every meal has its own value so Aishwarya ensured that her breakfast gave her energy and that her dinner light. The results were there as within no time she was back to her best.

  1. Amazing change this is..mnot a huge ash fan but I have to admire her to b able to take all that criticism n turn it all around…kudos to her!

  2. She is a real inspiration for people, Her transformation is like a slap for all the people and media who criticized her for being a real person. I feel life of a celebrity revolves around their personality and physical appearance. They get appreciated and criticized for the same. I dont say that it is easy for them to slim down or change their appearance but they have a slight edge over normal people, they have best personal trainers, personal dietitians, cooks and care takers who make their lives easier than ours. I would love to workout (and I try my best to squeeze in my daily routine) with a free mind not worrying about kitchen , laundry and family.

    • That is so true Shweta – – I have these mandatory task

      Massaging , bathing , feeding, cooking for my baby, taking her to park, keeping a watch on my maid as i m scared of my baby security..with this my professionaly work and my house management…friends and family etc etc endless thing..

      With this i take out time for gym and watch my diet…I too wish i had personal trainers who would come to my home and also a cook who make delicious food as per my diet requirement.

      I don’t say that she has it easy..I am sure she has million other work but losing weight will always be easier for her than us.

      • Exactly, See u have so much to do as being a mother of a toddler and u sill find time for working out, same is the case with me, (though I am not a mother yet, but many family responsibilities). I just wanna say that with all the help around with celebs it becomes a tad bit easy. And as for u .. girl u r doing some fab job.

  3. I don’t know about her but weight loss was always in my mind after my delivery.It should have been more in her mind keeping but she didn’t care…All she wanted was to stay with her daughter..What a great lady she is.

  4. nice to see the transformation, but i was totally surprised with shipa shetty’z transformation , she had gained lotss of wt, and with yoga she lost all her weight, n shee lookss amazing!

    • U kno taps… shilpa has always been fit.. its easier for ppl who were fit pre prgnancy to bounce bk- I feel ash has always yo yoed .. she was never fat-but her weight did tend to fluctuate- where shilpa is almost a fitness nazi hehehe!

  5. I read she was on a strict diet as well where she was skipping out carbs for one day and having them on another..she has grilled fish with soup and salad everyday in her dinner.

  6. i guess age also comes into play.. its a struggle to lose weight once u cross 35 and then have a baby… she was 38 when she had aaradhya

  7. Everyone was busy talking about how bad she is for not losing weight and paying attention to her child. I bet thee are the same people who cry that their parents ignored them. She is, and always will be, absolutely beautiful

  8. ohhh… I never admired Ash until i gave birth to my son the same day Ash delievered her baby with a gap of just 1 hour. I was so concious and embarassed of the pregnancy weight . I was 52 kgs before expecting and post delievery i was 70 kgs. But as time progressed and i saw how graciously Ash is carrying herself in front of the media even when whole world is gossiping about her weight. I really dont feel ashamed of saying that i was so much more confident after seeing her pics and reading her stories and how these gossips are not bothering her and not forcing her to come back in shape ASAP.
