Avocado Hummus Recipe Without Tahini|Paleo
Hi Everyone!
Came across this nice ripe Avocado recently in Big Bazaar! We don’t get yummy Avocados in our store but this time when I saw them I quickly picked them up.. The so called ‘fattening’ avocados actually help in weight loss. This is because they have monounsaturated fatty acids that are not stored as fat rather these fatty acids get burned slowly. As a result avocados make us feel full for longer.
Avocados are very helpful in keeping heart healthy. The oleic acid in them reduces bad cholesterol and increases the good one. This property also protects against diabetes. Eating avocados keeps skin soft and hydrated. Avocados have anti-inflammatory properties and help in reducing arthritic-pain.
Now that you have enough reasons to enjoy avocados, let us learn a hummus recipe that is made of avocados and is very delicious.
You will need-

Avocado- 1 large

Chickpeas (soaked overnight and boiled like your usual chole.)- 1 15oz

Garlic Clove- 1

Lemon juice- 2 tbsp.

Water- 1 tbsp.

Salt- 1/4 tsp
-
Olive oil – 2tbsp.
Take all the ingredients in a food processor and blend till you get thick, fluffy hummus. Adjust the consistency with water as per your requirement.
Super quick and super yummy hummus is ready!
Ganish with red chilli or red chilli flakes.I like our very own desi red chilli powder 🙂

OMG — Too many carbs…. and i always thought that Hummus was a low carb treat… 🙁
I make a big bowl of it and have 4-5 tbsp every day..above quantity will last for 3 -4 times easily ..so divide 45/4 but still high.
