Best Ways To Boost Metabolism – Part 2
Hi
I hope you enjoyed the tips I shared a few tips to Boost Metabolism a day back. You can find them here. Below are some more –
Fuel yourself with Protein
Our body treats calories from carbs, fat, and protein differently. It takes more energy for the body to digest protein which kicks up metabolism. Although you want to eat a balanced diet, replacing some carbs with protein-rich foods can boost metabolism.
Embrace antioxidants like Green Tea
Everyone is aware of the benefits of Green Tea and Chinese Tea. The best time to have green tea is between meals. According to research, drinking 2-4 cups of tea may push the body to burn 17% more calories for a short time. You can have green tea during your workout too, for more energy.
Build muscle
Muscles weigh more than fat and use more energy. The more muscle mass you have, the faster will you be your metabolism. You can increase your resting metabolism 100 calories a day if you strength train for 30-40 minutes twice or thrice a week.
Eat superfoods
Certain foods like grapefruit and eggs are known to speed up the metabolic rate. We have posted a lot of egg recipes in the past few weeks 🙂
Laugh and Laugh more
10 minutes of laughter per day will help you burn more energy. Watch your favorite show and laugh 🙂
Sleep
If you are not sleeping for 7-8 hours a day, there are high chances of your metabolism to crash. This will cause weight gain. It is okay to catch up with your sleep later if you slept less someday. So maintain your zzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZ :P.
Elevate Iron and Vitamin D in your Diet
Iron is responsible to transport oxygen to tissues throughout the body. Low iron in the body leads to fatigue, loss of appetite, anemia, and slow metabolism. Low Vitamin D causes weight gain. People generally keep a check on hemoglobin but miss on Vitamin D. You should get Vitamin D tests done if you are gaining weight.
