We all feel a lot of different emotions at every moment but there are certain emotions that affect your skin health adversely.

1) Anger

If by nature you are short tempered and have anger sitting on your nose, you are harming your skin. So, get this emotion called anger out of you!

2) Embarrassment

There are various reasons and situations to get embarrassed and you won’t know what to do about it. Embarrassment can bring up acne issues. It can also alter the rate at which enzymes are produced leading to skin pigmentation and premature hair loss. Having said that, you can get embarrassed at any point of time and can do almost nothing about it.

3) Hate

We all have this emotion. There is someone we loath to the core and call him/her names in our mind. Hatred is said to put you in a constant state of anxiety and this is not good. Constant anxiety can raise the levels of adrenaline and cortisol in the body that can lead to acne. It would be advisable to let go of hatred. It may be difficult but there is no point in holding a grudge against someone or something when it is going to harm you and not them!

4) Frustration

Life throws you in situations that make you feel frustrated. Life cannot always be like what we want it to be. Due to frustration and stress there is an increased production of the stress hormone cortisol that is known to affect your facial cells and weakens the blood vessels in the face. All this leads to ageing. If you are already a victim of acne and eczema, the stress will worsen your condition.

5) Sadness

There is no one in this world who has never gone through sadness. It is natural to feel sad when things don’t turn out the way you expected them to. You will frown constantly when you are depressed or sad. Too much of frowning can cause wrinkles around your eyes. Moreover staying depressed can lead to lack of sleep causing puffy and baggy eyes.

6) Fear

Fear is a natural human emotion. It meant to save us from trouble and help us survive but these days we have complicated our lives so much that we stay in a state of fear more often. There is a rush of adrenaline when you have fear. This makes your muscles tensed and your skin loses its firmness and folds start appearing in the skin.
