Detoxing is something that many are into. But do you know what it is exactly?
Well, there is no clinical or universal definition for the word ‘detox’. It essentially refers to flushing the toxins from the body that have been accumulated by diet or environmental factors. However, many people are not aware of the fact that the human body detoxifies itself on its own, by digestion and elimination. You don’t require any green juice for it, the whole thing is done naturally by the body. You aren’t aware about this because the web world is not talking about it 😛

Here is a list of foods for everyday detox that you should include in your diet weekly. This way you will easily be able to detox your body and see and feel the results.
1) Cayenne pepper
Cayenne pepper is spicy but it helps stimulate digestion and removes toxins via the digestive system. This is nothing but the routine red chilli we Indians add to our food regularly! Some people temper their dal with whole red chilli whereas some add the red chilli powder to foods for the colour and flavour. Whatever you do, don’t have too much of it!
Pineapple is a yummy fruit! It is said to contain an enzyme called bromelain that aids digestion and reduces inflammation. You can easily include this in your smoothies, shakes and sorbet (frozen fruit dessert). They can be diced and added to a fruit salad too.
Papaya is the most sought after detox food as it has a digestive enzyme called papain in it. It is one fruit that is easily available everywhere and it is inexpensive. You can dice it and add it to your fruit salad or use it in smoothies.
4) Green tea
Ahh! That relaxing cup of hot green tea! Do you have the habit of drinking green tea regularly? If so, it is good. Green tea is a considered to be a powerhouse if antioxidants that are crucial in helping the body remove toxins. It is good to drink 2 cups of green tea in a day so that you can make the most of your healing powers.
Leafy greens are always welcome on your plate. Spinach is full of vitamins and minerals and helps the body stay on its detoxing grind. This is probably why popeye opens a can of spinach whenever he needs a boost. Being quite mild in flavour, it can be added to smoothies too and nobody will know a thing. Add spinach to soups and salads too. This way you can get more of it in your diet.
