GM Diet For Indians During Navratri

Navratri is going on, so we planned to start a 7 days GM Diet for Indians during Navratri. Who doesn’t know about GM diet? All of us have once in our lifetime have surely tried the General Motors diet. It is a very successful plan that helps us lose up to 4-7 kg in just 7 days. Since GM diet plan is spread across seven days, and each day has strict food group rules so I thought why not tweak it a bit and try to do it during Navratras. Good idea, isn’t it? 😀

As we all know that on GM diet a particular food group is consumed on a particular day. This system of GM diet stimulates weight loss and helps burn fat faster.

GM Diet Plan For Navratri

Fruits only- Day One

  • Get lots of melons and apples and eat whenever hungry.
  • Eat any fruit but NO bananas.
  • Drink 2-3 ltr water and green tea

Vegetables only- Day Two

  • Second day is just for vegetables. Eat in any form, raw or cooked whichever way you like.
  • No potatoes please
  • Drink 2-3 ltr water and green tea

Fusion Day- Day Three

  • Any fruits and vegetables except bananas and potatoes.
  • Eat small portions when hungry.
  • Salads, chaat or soup anything you wish.
  •  Drink 2-3 ltr water and green tea

Milk and Banana Day- Day Four

  • On day four have only bananas and milk.
  • Make banana shake if you wish
  • Consuming up to 6 large or 8 small bananas are fine.
  • Drink three glasses of  skimmed / toned milk can be had.
  • Drink 2-3 ltr water and green tea

Mixed Food Day 1- Day Five

  • Eat 6 whole tomatoes in the form of salad or stew.
  • Samak (Vrat ke chaawal) rice or cottage cheese as the main meal.
  • Drink 3-4 ltr (Increased)water and green tea

Mixed Food Day 2- Day Six

  • Today’s meals may include an unlimited amount of vegetables, but no potatoes.
  • Samak (Vrat) rice or cottage cheese as pulao, salad, or soup.
  • Increase water intake as much as possible.

Mixed Food Day 3- Day Seven

  • Only Samak (Vrat) rice, fruits, fruit juice (home made) and vegetables allowed.
  • Make soups, salads and vegetable pulao.
  • Water 3-4 ltr

So this is the schedule of Seven days GM Diet plan which we have customized for Seven Navratri days.  The 8th day is Kanya poojan day so that can be used to enjoy Halwa, poorie and chanaseven days you would have surely lost minimum 4-6 kg so now it will be up to you to decide, how much would you like to eat after hard work of seven days. A control on regular diet can keep the weight loss going.

After a break of one week, you can redo this 7 day GM diet and keep doing till you reach your goal.

If done sincerely, this 7 day GM diet during Navratri can do wonders to your weight, skin, hair and overall health. Increased consumption of fiber will help you improve your digestive system and remove toxins from your body.
