Role of gut bacteria in weight loss

Probiotics have a wide range of health benefits. But the effects are mixed and depend on the type of probiotic. Some strains of bacteria help people fight obesity by weight loss and other strains prevent weight gain.
It is not just weight loss for which you should have probiotics. They have other benefits to offer too like better digestive health, reduced inflammation, improved heart health. Probiotics are even known to be able to fight anxiety and depression.
