How To Get Rid Of Love Handles
Have you ever felt that how much ever you workout, fat from certain areas doesn’t seem to budge? One such problem area is belly fat called ‘love handles’ that you can easily pinch from the sides of your belly. Long back when I heard about love handles, I was under the impression that it was some kind of handle. Now, no giggling please! Later I came to know it is slang for belly fat! Jokes apart let me come to back to business. I am going to tell you about certain exercises that can help you get rid of love handles.
How To Get Rid Of Love Handles -10 minute workout
Try doing the follow exercise one after another. It will be beneficial if done thrice a week. It gives more toned obliques and a stronger core. You have to use weights (dumbbells) for this.
40 Woodchoppers (20 on each side of your body with one hand weight)
Stand with your feet a hip-width apart with your weight on the left leg. Hold the dumbbell in both hands up by your left shoulder. Next, twist like make a chopping motion down towards the right hip. Allow the feet and knees to turn with the twist. Raise the weight back up to the left shoulder and repeat the same 20 times. After that, work your right side.
50 Russian Twists
Sit on your butt with the knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Your trunk should be leaning back at a 45 degree angle to the floor. Hold a dumbbell with both the hands. Lift the feet from the ground, cross the feet at the ankles and balance on your butt. From this position, twist your trunk to the right and touch the dumbbell to the ground next to you. Next, twist back to the left touching the weight to the left side of your body. Repeat back and forth, all while you balance your legs and trunk raised off of the ground.
30 Side Plank Hip Lifts (15 on each side)
Take the side plank position with the elbow on the ground and the legs and hips resting on the ground. Engage your abs and keep your body in a straight line then raise the lower half of your body up off the ground forming a straight plank position. Lower yourself again and repeat. Change sides and do 15 on each side (left and right).
30 Bicycle Crunches
Lie on your back with your hands behind your head and your knees bent. Clasping your hands is not required. Engage your abs, lift your shoulders and upper back off the ground. Simultaneously, move the right elbow toward the left knee so that they meet in the centre of your body. Now, switch your position by bringing the left elbow to the right knee. Continue doing this as quickly as possible while still keeping your trunk raised up off the ground.
Incorporating these exercises in your routine workout can be helpful to get rid of your love handles.
