This is the last post of 1 Week Weight Loss Challenge. I sincerely hope that this challenge could help you a bit if not more. I am really happy the way you guys have responded to the challenge. My happiness further increased when a lot of people confirmed that they were able to lose a few pounds from the second day itself  . I am glad it made a difference, to at least a few.

Now after this challenge finishes, how to continue your weight loss spree? Needless to say, you can’t get back to your old ways of habits. People who start a healthy lifestyle just to lose weight in a hope that they can get back to their old habits later are sadly mistaken. There is no going back ever!

So let’s see how to make this healthy lifestyle a habit and not a torture 😉

How To Keep Losing Weight After 1 Week weight loss challenge?

First thing first, water is extremely important to lose weight. Its importance is understated by almost everyone. Those who say drinking 8 glasses of water a day is ideal, unfortunately lie! I think 3 litres of water is a must for everyone for a healthy body! You may need to drink more if you are looking to lose weight.

Keep a track on the amount of carbohydrates that you eat especially wheat and rice. Always choose vegetables and meat over grains.

Do not underestimate the power of a common man err common vegetables like cucumber! Fibre is another aspect people do not pay attention to. Every meal should have fiber for you to lose weight. This simply means raw foods like salad, or fruit must be taken before/with every meal.

Include healthy fats in your daily lifestyle. Butter, olive oil, cream, nuts, desi ghee (portion controlled) are way healthier than refined oil, margarine , low fat spreads!

Protein is a very important nutrient that is needed to build muscle and lose the fat stored in the body. It is present in lean meats, eggs, soya, daals and pulses like rajma, chole. Green whole moong is one daal which has low carbs and high protein – perfect for everyday!

Walking is mandatory to lose weight. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, there is no escape to 45 minutes of brisk walking. Burning 300 calories for women, 500 calories for men is not too difficult to burn. If you are serious about losing weight, walk 10,000 steps a day. Do not follow the herd. Let me explain, bear me for a while please. During this challenge, hundreds of people have messaged me on Facebook. I am really thankful to all of you. I have tried to answer as many as I could, if I have not been able to revert, I surely will reply by end of this week.

Majority of the people have asked me for free diet plans. These people have been suffering from for health issues like thyroid, PCOD, asthma, ligament fracture, high cholesterol, diabetes, insomnia, depression etc. I told them that the plan that worked for people who have no health issue i.e generic plan may not work for them. They argued that I gave free diet plans in this 1 week weight loss challenge as a result of which people lost 2.5-3 kgs in a week. So why I can’t give them free diet plans as per their health condition. Please understand that when you have one or the other health issue, it is important to analyze your health problems, check your test reports and ensure what we suggest does not adversely affect you. You may have a kidney issue now, there is a likely chance that the plan that you copied from someone else affects your liver. Then what?

Do not follow blindly what others did to lose weight. What worked for them, may not work for you period!

Lastly, think positive. You may think it is nowhere related to losing weight but hell yeah it is. It has everything to do with losing weight. Stress can make you gain weight. No matter how clean you eat and how much you work out – nothing can make you lose weight. I repeating NOTHING can make you lose weight. Do not stress over things you can’t control.
