LCHF:Low Carb High Fat Chicken Recipe

I am a big fan of non-vegetarian food and this love of mine made me lose oodles of weight off my body. Non vegetarian food especially white meat is the best bet if you are on a low carbohydrate diet. Fish and chicken in any form had always been my favourite.

Few days back I got a very bad craving for chicken but was in no mood to cook a cumbersome recipe.. so thought of trying an easiest possible dish . This is what the final outcome was of all that effort… Ooops!! … no effort. 🙂

Now let me explain the recipe step by step with pics …But first Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Chicken cut in cubes with or without bones      250 gm
  • Bell peppers all colours      100 gm
  • Baby Onions 5-6 or normal onion 1 medium
  • Olive Oil           4 tbsp
  • Zeera   as much or less you eat
  • Vinegar            2 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce        1 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce      1 tsp
  • Butter         20 gms
  • Salt  and black pepper to taste

Method

  • Marinate chicken pieces in vinegar and salt for 10/15 mnts .
  • Heat oil in a wok, add zeera tadka, and add chicken cubes.

  • Add Onions to chicken and saute a bit.

  • Throw in all the sauces.

  • Mix a bit. Turn flame to minimum.
  • Let it cook covered till chicken is cooked.
  • If you feel that sauces are about to dry and burn, add a few sprinkles of water and let it simmer for a while till pieces are cooked.
  • When cooked and tender add butter to it with a sprinkle of black pepper.
  • No need to add salt as it was already added in marination.
  • Finally add all coloured peppers and sliced green chillies.
  • Turn off the gas flame and let the wok be covered.
  • Finally serve hot with a dash of lime sprinkled on top.
  • You are free to serve it any way you want but for me it is in the wok only and I call it my Kadhai Chicken 😛

I love this chicken to be served with fried rice and soup but for me its chicken—- chicken —- and only chicken. 😀
