Most of you know that I am low carbing and all of you know that I am a lazy bum 😀 . Smoothies are my best buddies, they are easy peasy , take very less time for preparation and taste yummy like … just yummmy 🙂 , sorry fell short of words 😉

I am sure when you see the picture, your eyes will pop out 🙂

  • ½ cup strawberries (frozen or fresh)

  • ½ cup raspberries (frozen or fresh)

  • ½ cup coconut milk, soy milk or milk

  • Honey (optional)

  • 1 TSP Flax seeds (optional)

  • Protein powder (optional)

Low Carb Strawberry Raspberry Smoothie Recipe

This smoothie is extremely delicious, full of antioxidants and will aid weight loss for sure ! It took me 6 minutes from washing the berries and gulping the smoothie down my throat.

Smoothies have only 1 rule of preparation, blend blend and blend. Still, I will elaborate my way to do it 😀 .

1. Crush berries and flax seeds in half the quantity of milk.
2. Add more milk and honey if you wish.
3. Bring it to the desired consistency by adding water and milk.
4. Serve

I used coconut milk for this smoothie, you can use milk or soy milk as well. coconut milk keeps me full till a long time, read my review here.

A few tips –

  • If you don’t like crunchiness in your smoothie, blend flax seeds first so that they are completely crushed.
  • Use vanilla or neutral flavor protein powder only. If you use any other flavor like chocolate, the smoothie will tastes eeeeks
  • Add ice if you are using fresh berries. Frozen berries won’t need ice.

Strawberries are low in carbs, rich in antioxidants, vitamin C. These are excellent for immunity and good skin. It is rich in fiber and aids weight loss.

Raspberries are rich in in B-complex and vitamin K. They are rich in fiber, folic acid and antioxidants too. Raspberries have been raved abour their weight loss ability since they pep up your metabolism.

Both Strawberry and Raspberry are great foods for antiageing !
Flax seeds are low carb and high in Omega 3 fatty acids.They promote hormonal balance and hair growth. They are rich in minerals and vitamins too.
