1) Soft drinks
Sugar loaded fizzy drinks or packaged juices are the most fattening things. They have no nutrients and are mainly empty calories. People who drink sugary soft drinks will gain more weight than those who don’t. Apart from the risk of obesity, soft drinks can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
2) Ice cream
Most of the ice cream that is commercially made is full of sugar. As it is a dessert it can add a lot of extra calories to your meal. If ice cream is a one food that you can’t no to, have it a occasionally as a treat.
3) Commercially made pizzas
Youngsters and kids like eating commercially prepared pizzas. They may taste like heaven but they have refined crabs, calories and lots of fat. Most of them have huge amounts of processed meat and cheese. Processed meats are linked to obesity, cancer and heart disease. However, you can include healthy versions of pizzas in your life with lots of veggies and whole wheat dough. It is best to make pizza at home.
Cookies have a high amount of sugar in them and are prepared with maida and unhealthy fats. To keep yourself in shape, you must limit your intake. When you crave them, have just a little bit. Don’t make them a part of your diet, keep them as an occasional treat instead.
5) Potato chips
Potato chips and French fries seem to everyone’s favourite. However, they are a very high calorie snack or side dish. Commercially made french fries have a high fat and salt intake and are accompanied with sauces high in sugar. So having potato chips is a bad idea when you want to lose weight. You can instead have boiled or baked potatoes.
6) Milk chocolate
While dark chocolate is said to have a lot of health benefits including better heart function and improved brain health, milk chocolate or white chocolate has a lot o added sugar. Such chocolates are high in fat as well as added sugar. You will most probably land up overeating it as it is delicious. The end result would be weight gain.
The peanut butter that is made at home with healthy ingredients like roasted peanuts and a pinch of salt is healthy in moderation. This kind of peanut butter is by no means healthy. Also, peanut butter is high in calories and can be easily overeaten. If you cannot control portions it is better to stay away from peanut butter.
