You know jaggery very well but what is this palm jaggery? Well, ‘palm jaggery’ is the jaggery made from palm tree extracts. It is darker in colour than jaggery made from sugar cane. The process of making it is natural and it does not involve usage of any kind of chemical. This helps in retaining the natural mineral salts present.
Jaggery is a traditional type of unrefined, amorphous and non-distilled sugar. Palm jaggery is used in making sweets, candies, toffees and lots more.
