Red Patches or Scaly Skin
There can be large and painful red patches on the skin. Sometimes there are whitish silver scales that might bleed when scraped. At times, these look like pimples or even dark-colored areas that look like a burnt skin patch. There are sometimes skin buildups, commonly found on the back, elbows, knees, or scalp. A burning sensation around the affected area and cracked skin are also some important symptoms.Discoloured Nailbeds Most people with psoriasis notice a difference in the appearance of fingernails and toenails. The nailbeds often become pitted and discolored. They might look lifted or raised off the skin. (See what else your nails reveal about your health.)Tender, Blistered Skin
People with psoriasis notice their epidermis becoming more red and tender and eventually blistered. These blisters may be filled with pus.
Inflamed Folds of the Skin
Inflammation may be seen in delicate areas of the body like armpits, breast, and the groin region. There might not be any scaling of skin but it is the most difficult one to treat due to the sensitivity of the area as rubbing or sweating irritates the area.
