Many people face fatigue or general weakness. Such a feeling makes you unable to carry out day to day activities. A few other symptoms of fatigue are too much of sweating, not being able to sleep, loss of appetite and difficulty in concentrating.
So, what do you do when you are way too tired? Here are some foods that can help:
1) Bananas
Bananas give a quick energy boost as it is a great source of natural sugars such as fructose, glucose and sucrose. They also have potassium in them which is needed by the body to convert sugar into energy. The glucose levels are also maintained by the fibre present in bananas.
- Whenever your energy levels are down, you can perk yourself up by eating a banana. To make it more interesting, have it in a shake or smoothie.
- To strengthen the body and prevent tiredness eat a banana with a tablespoon of honey twice a day.
2) Almonds
Almonds have a chockfull of vitamin E in them. Vitamin E helps one in feeling energetic and fights general weakness. The magnesium present in almonds has an important role to play in converting carbs, fat and protein into energy. Even a mild deficiency of magnesium can be the reason behind the weakness in some people.

3) Milk
Milk is known to be the best source of B vitamins. They reduce weakness. Along with that they are a really good source of calcium for the upkeep of bone and muscle health.
When you feel tired you can resort to a glass of milk. You can have it with honey. Milk can be boiled with 2-3 figs. Eat the boiled figs and drink the milk for energy.
4) Indian Gooseberry Or Amla
Amla or the Indian gooseberry is a very nutritious fruit. It has a lot of health benefits. Eating gooseberry on a daily basis can help strengthen the immune system. It is a good source of iron, phosphorus, vitamin C and calcium.
Make it a point to have the juice of fresh amla with honey 2-3 times a day for one whole week.
5) Ginseng
Ginseng has been known for centuries as a strong antioxidant. It will provide you energy whenever you feel down. This herb is known to have a soothing and calming nature that instantly works on your nerves. You can have its tea. Though ginseng is good, it is not suitable for those with a high blood pressure.
6) Mangoes
The sweet and juicy fruit is everyone’s delight! It has a chockfull of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in it. Iron present in mangoes helps fight anemia and increases the count of red blood cells. Mangoes provide instant energy as they contain starch that gets converted to sugar.

7) Strawberries
The low in calorie berries are a helpful in keeping you energetic all day long. They have loads of vitamin C and antioxidants that fight free radical damage and boost immunity. Strawberries also provide a healthy dose of fibre and manganese.
When you feel weak, just have half a glass of strawberry juice. You can have them as a part of fruit salad.
8) Eggs
You can fight weakness by having a well-balanced diet. Egg is one of the most nutritious foods. It has protein, iron, folic acid, vitamin A, and other B vitamins.
If you eat one egg a day, you will start feeling energetic quite fast. Have it the way you like boiled, scrambled or as an omelet.
9) Coffee
For an instant energy boost coffee is the best. It has a lot of healthy benefits to offer when consumed in moderation. Don’t have more than 2 cups of coffee in a day. Coffee not only increases energy level but improves the rate of metabolism.
