Top Foods Weight Watcher’s Fridge Must Have
Hello All!!
You are what you eat and what you eat comes out from the fridge 😛 It is a fact that when you are hungry you open the fridge (At least I do :P). This proves that if you stash healthy stuff in your fridge you will eat healthy too! With a few smart choices you can be healthier and lose weight. So I will quickly help you out with some tips for a fridge makeover!
Top Foods Weight Watcher’s Fridge Must Have
1) Nut Butters
Always stock up healthy nut butters in your fridge. Peanut butter and almond butter are healthy. You can enjoy a whole grain toast smeared with almond butter, add peanut butter to your smoothies or enjoy the butters by applying them on slices of apples.
2)Fruits
Keep a lot of fruits in your fridge. Berries, oranges, kiwis, apples, pears and whatever other colourful fruit you can spot at the grocer’s. Whenever you feel hungry and don’t have the time to fix up a snack for yourself you can snack on fresh fruits.
3) Ready-to-Eat Protein
Have your stock of paneer and tofu in the fridge. Whenever you feel hungry you can have a slice of roasted panner with some masala or tofu sautéed with some tomatoes and onions. If you like non-veg, you can keep chicken and fish in your freezer. Fish can be made really quick. You can also pre-cook the chicken and keep it in your fridge for situations when you are running short of time.
4) Vegetables
Raw veggies are a great snack. When you feel like eating something crunchy you can munch on broccoli, carrots, cucumbers and radishes. Stock up your fridge with them. Try eating them with a healthy dip.
5) Lemon
There is nothing as refreshing as a glass of lemon juice. Adding a dash of lemon in the water you are drinking or to your iced tea is a good idea. For the summers it is a must to stock up your fridge with lemon.
6) Curd
Whether you make it at home or buy it from the supermarket, having curd in your fridge is a must. Whenever you crave for a dessert you can have curd with fresh fruit.
7) Eggs
Eggs are a wonder food in themselves. They provide is with so many essential nutrients. It doesn’t take long to boil eggs and have them for breakfast. They are an easy choice and they offer you with lots of protein.
8) Hummus
The high-protein chick pea dip tastes great with cut-up veggies. A wonderful combination for a low-calorie snack! Hummus can replace salad dressings and mayo. Make small batches of hummus and store them in the fridge.
9) Almond milk
You can make your own almond milk, rather than buying it from the supermarket. It is a very good substitute for regular milk in most recipes. It is considered healthy as it has lesser calories and fat in it. You can add it to your smoothies or have it as a part of your vegan diet.
Hope these healthy foods find place in your fridge.
