Many people think that this high fat low carb diet is meat-based. However, this is nothing but a misconception. You can adopt this diet even if you are a vegan! Yes, you read that right! Vegans get their protein and fat quota without depending on meat or dairy. So, a vegan keto diet is actually possible. Known as ‘nature’s butter’, the avocado is a rich source of healthy fat along with fibre and some amount of protein. You can use it in a variety of ways like making dips out of it and even desserts. Just cut it into half and eat it with a spoon with some salt and pepper sprinkled on top! It will fill you up pretty well.
2) Flax seed
Flax seeds are high in healthy fats and have quite low net carbs in them. You make porridge out of it or add it to roasted vegetable salad. It can be used to bake as it is a great substitute for eggs.
3) Coconut milk
You need to go in for full-fat coconut milk because when you are on a keto diet, you have to consume fat. 75% of the diet needs to comprise of healthy fats. Add it to your vegetable curry, soup or your smoothie. It is healthy and totally yummy!

Tofu is always a part of the vegan diet as it is a versatile ingredient. You can toss it in to your salad, have it roasted or make low carb cutlets with it! It is a perfect alternative to paneer or cottage cheese. You can experiment a lot with it!
Mushrooms can make their way to almost any dish! Have them sautéed with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt or add them to soups. They taste amazing when they are stuffed, roasted or grilled.
7) Cashew cheese
Vegans use a lot of cashews in their food. While it may not be a great keto food, its high fat content makes it a good vegan-keto food. Cashew cheese is made by blending cashews with nutritional yeast, garlic, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper and mustard. It mimics soft cheeses really well.
8) Coconut butter

This is nothing but coconut flesh pureed into a spread; just like peanut butter. You can get it from a store. Upon melting it a little in the microwave and mixing it up, it tastes like a frosting. You can add a spoon of coconut butter to almost anything to make it yummy!
9) 90 to 99 percent dark chocolate
This one is going to bitter if you are used to the 75% dark chocolate but if you are comfortable without sweets in your diet, nibbling on 90 to 99 percent dark chocolate will be exciting!
