Add in some cheese if you wish to as it will become even more tasty and filling. One large scrambled egg will give you about 6 g of protein. If you like omelets, you can go ahead with that too. Chop onions, green chillies and tomato and add all of them to your omelet and enjoy!

2) Fruits in curd

Curd is commonly found in homes and is a great protein source. Having it with your favourite fresh fruits is a great idea. You can add diced apples, peaches, grapes, and even exotic berries and make the breakfast colourful. Add a dash of chaat masala and salt. You must be wondering why I didn’t say bananas, well, you can add the too but if you are on a low carb diet, you need to give them a miss.

3) Pongal (Khichdi)

Pongal is a South Indian delicacy and is more like the North Indian khichdi. It is basically made out of rice and dal. If you want to increase the protein content in it and reduce the crabs you can make it with quinoa. Quinoa, as you all must be aware is a pseudo cereal rich in protein and does not contain gluten.

6) Dhoklas

Gujrati breakfast is almost incomplete without dhoklas. If you happen to enjoy the little sweetness and the tinge of tanginess it has to offer, then you should make it a part of your breakfast. Remember that just like idli it is steamed. Though making it may seem cumbersome to you, it is worth it. 7) Moong dal chilla

To make moong dal chilla, you need to soak the moong dal and make a batter out of it. Spread it round on the tawa. If you want something instant, you can try making the chilla with besan too. Both the chillas are packed with protein.
