Weight Loss with Pranic healing
Eating excessively is not the only reason we start putting on weight. There are so many other factors that contribute to weight gain. Even though lack of exercise and an unhealthy diet is the most common cause, many a times one puts on weight even if one is eating right.
Our psychological problems are linked with our physiological issues. That is to say Emotional discomfort affects our physical wellbeing. Negative emotions like fear, anxiety, stress, anger, guilt, grief, depression often determine how our bodies behave. That is why you often read that high levels of stress leads to hormonal changes, sudden weight loss, fever, water retention, amongst various other medical problems.
While a healthy lifestyle that involves healthy eating and exercise are conventional ways of being fit, many people also turn to alternative therapies to achieve fitness. It is believed that incorporating alternative therapies in your daily life is a much more holistic approach to fitness and health.
What are Alternative Therapies?
Alternative therapies are any unconventional non-medical therapies that are used for treatment of health conditions. These therapies often compliment medical treatment but are not meant to replace conventional cures. Alternative therapies include but are not limited to Acupunture, Accupressure, Ayurveda, Reiki, Pranic Healing, Aroma Therapy, and Herbal Therapy.
Alternative approaches to treatment are increasingly used in hospitals and healthcare centres alongside medical treatment.
What is Pranic Healing?
Pranic Healing is a type of alternative therapy that uses energy for healing. It is a no touch therapy; which means healers won’t physically touch you while they heal. The word Pranic literally means “Of Life” and the therapy is described as the “ancient science and art of healing using Prana or Ki energy.”
This type of healing was initially discovered, developed and promoted by Choa Kok Sui and advocates the use of surrounding energy for self-healing.
Pranic healing has protocols for both physiological and psychological conditions and there are various centres across the world which teach these protocols. Anyone can join the programs to learn the techniques.
Pranic Healing methods for weight loss
Pranic healing protocols offers solutions for quite a number of health and fitness problems, including weight issues. Practicing healers talk about two methods of Pranic weight loss. One is through Pranic Meditation and the other is via following a Pranic Protocol.
While Pranic meditation is a long term method that will relax and distress you, many centres also promote a Pranic weight loss program that include six or seven week long sessions and dietary plans. These sessions usually do not involve intensive exercise, though light stretches are part of the procedures.
Healers manipulate energy to heal you in these sessions. These sessions last for an hour or more. Healers often encourage and promote learning the healing techniques, so that people can apply the techniques themselves.
Though there is no compulsion to follow dietary plans, they suggest participants to avoid junk food and alcohol.
Often, negativity in our life affects us health wise. Weight gain is linked with stress quite frequently. Since Pranic healing offers relief from such psychological issues, many people are increasingly getting interested in this alternative therapy.
Pranic healing like other alternative therapies, is not meant to replace conventional methods of fitness like gyming, or following a healthy diet. It can only compliment these methods to give you more flexibility in your fitness journey.
