The juice of pomegranate is packed with antioxidants. A single cup of it daily can help fight the damage caused by free radicals. The antioxidants help in preventing the oxidization of LDL (bad) cholesterol.  It is oxidized LDL that contributes to the buildup of plaque in the arteries.
